Prior to joining Maney Gordon Zeller, Jose A. Barreiro, founded the Jose A. Barreiro Law Firm, P.A., and has been a trusted advocate for clients in the Tampa area since 1997. With over two decades of experience handling a wide range of legal matters from personal injury claims like traffic collisions and workplace injuries to representing individuals facing criminal charges, Jose has earned a reputation as a fierce trial lawyer. A graduate of Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, Jose brings an unparalleled combination of legal knowledge, strategic thinking, and courtroom skills to each case. He is admitted to practice before any trial court in the State of Florida, the Supreme Court of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida. BACKGROUND

Jose is deeply connected to the Tampa community, being a 4th-generation native of the area with Cuban heritage. His family’s legacy of hard work and dedication informs his approach to law, and he takes great pride in helping his neighbors navigate the legal challenges they face. His ability to speak fluently in Spanish allows him to communicate and serve the Hispanic community as well. Over the years, Jose has built a diverse client base across the State of Florida.

Outside of his practice, Jose enjoys spending time with his family. He is married to Martha, a Hillsborough County high school teacher, and they have two daughters and a son. Despite his busy professional life, Jose makes time with his family for outdoor activities, including boating, biking, and golfing.
